Save Money And Make Your Own Card Crafts

Make your own card crafts with rubber stamps and dried flowers. They are so easy to do and you can just let your imagination run wild. You can make very delicate cards or really elaborate ones. It is just up to you.

All you have to do is learn the basics of rubber stamped cards and then you branch out from there.

Choose a card that is bigger than your stamp and you can use the blank space around the stamp design to add more embellishments. The basic design is very easy and is a great way to show off a dramatic stamp.

This basic design will make a very simple statement like "Get Well Soon" or even "Happy Birthday"

To make your card crafts a little more interesting, choose a stamp with a design of a house or largeflower card flower. Stamp the card with your stamp and then allow it to dry. Then color in the stamp using your pastels, colored pencils or even chalk. With the pastels you can blend in the colors and make it look real.

I love to use rubber stamps with dried flowers. My favorite is a house stamp and then make a design around it with your dried flowers. You can make this very simple or very elaborate.

You can do so much with dried flowers. Check out my page on how to dry flowers Arrange flowers into a bouquet or just randomly place the flowers around the card. Dried ferns make really nice cards.

Different Card Stocks. There are some really unusual textured card stocks now available. The next time you're at a craft store look at all of the card stock and try something different. They come in different colors and textures. Some of them look like home made and they make beautiful cards.

Repeating Stamp Designs. This a great way to use your metallic, pigment inks as well as your special inks. A Birthday card can be made very interesting by using a Happy Birthday stamp and stamping it in four to six different colors. This looks especially nice with your metallic colors.

Embossing Your Card. To jazz up a simple stamped card just emboss it. You can quickly make an image stand out from the surface of the card by using a heat gun, pigment ink and embossing powder.

Use Multiple Stamps. You don't have to limit your card to just one stamp. Choose your main stamp for the center of the card and then stamp the corners or around the edge of your main stamp with a complimentary design. You might try embossing your main image and that will make it stand out from the plain flat stamps.

You can embellish your card crafts with things besides stamps and dried flowers. You can draw on your cards, use stickers, small charms and ribbon can really make your card different. Just use your imagination and you can come up with an endless supply of ideas and make your cards a true work of art.

Children love to make cards and they are so creativity. You can have them draw a Christmas Scene on their card craft for the special people in their lives.
